In Homer's famous Odyssey, Odysseus is a hero. He is a divine figure, sung in songs, glorified, revered, wonderful. Everyone around him is less important: ordinary generals, soldiers, henchmen. Everyone around him is anti Odysseus. Anti Odysseus is both you and me: little people who struggle with everyday life. Dragan Stranac is an anti Odysseus from the Danube, angry at everything that is happening around him, and unable to change anything, until one moment ... The story of Dragan Stranac and his late wife Lamija is a story of struggle, overcoming, love, disease, murder. It is a story about life in the swamps around the Danube, but also the swamps of the mind in which the living sand swallows us if we are not careful enough, if we surrender to fate, without fighting for ourselves. "The Color of Solitude" is thus the story of the anti Odyssei and their wanderings, hopes, dreams and attempts to swim in this life as they know and can.
